Cute? One could certainly find better adjectives to describe Shut Up & Jam!, Ted Nugent’s first studio album in seven years. But that’s exactly how the Motor City Madman himself would describe this new collection of blues-inspired songs. Say what you will about his choice of words; it’s safe to say Nugent and his insatiable appetite for honky-tonk bastardization has never .

ShutUp&Jam! is not an album that is going to create new fans but it is a fun little album never the less. There could have been a little more thought put into the lyrics, but the music easily makes up for it. This is definitely not an album for the easily offended left winger, this is Ted Nugent at his most blunt and honest/5().

It doesn't rise above Go, USA and backyard barbeque. Sadly, Ted's music remains at cartoon level. Go back and listen to the first album and the other early albums: Cat Scratch Fever, Double Live Gonzo, Free For All, State Of Shock. That is the Ted Nugent band I remember. I miss your real music, Ted, I really do.
